GROUNDCARE APPRENTICESHIPS – APPLICATIONS CLOSED FOR 2024; APPLY IN THE NEW YEAR FOR 2025 OPPORTUNITIES

T H WHITE’s Groundcare division provides sales, parts, service and hire of groundcare and forestry equipment to professional users.

Apprenticeships can lead on to a role as a qualified groundcare machinery engineer, potentially moving into the sales or parts department. Study is at college on block release leading to an NVQ in Landbased Engineering.

Experience can be gained in a range of practical areas including training in electronic and hydraulic systems, maintaining grass cutting heads on various machines, on and on -site work at private estates, golf courses and local authorities, as well as health & safety training.
In addition, specialised product training can be offered from suppliers, along with registration on the Land-based Technician Accreditation scheme.

Hours:

40 hours a week subject to working hours regulations.

Key Duties will Include:

Apprenticeships are usually for 4 years and incorporate day or block release at college to gain the knowledge element of the qualification, with on-the-job practical experience gained in the workplace.

All apprentices can undergo training in fork lift operation, specialist product training from suppliers, as well as health and safety training.

The Ideal Applicant:

Apprenticeships are a great way to get industry experience and skills, in a hands-on working environment.

This training route suits students who prefer a more ‘hands on’ approach to learning.  Many of the Managers, Sales Representatives and Heads of Department within the Company joined via the apprenticeship route.
