FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER – DUNDEE/PERTH

Palfinger UK is the exclusive UK distributor for Palfinger Lorry Cranes and Epsilon Construction, Recycling and Forestry Cranes. We’re also the UK’s largest national Lorry Crane provider that offers in-house assembly, bespoke body-building and servicing for the entire life of the equipment portfolio it represents.

Due to demand, we have an exciting opening for a Field Service Engineer to join our specialist aftersales team.

We’re looking for a suitable engineer who ideally lives in Dundee, Perth or the surrounding region.

Exceptional customer service and aftersales support is at the heart of our business. We’re a trusted supplier of an extensive range of some of the world’s most advanced and innovative lifting machines.

This is your chance to work out in the field and become a product specialist supporting our iconic cranes.

Hours:

40 hours a week, worked between our standard operational hours of 07:00-18:00 Monday – Friday.

Key Duties will Include:

You will work across your local area delivering on-site support to our own brand of lorry loaders, including:

  • Regular crane servicing
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues on customer sites.
  • Performing LOLER inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Providing technical support and training to customers.

The Ideal Applicant:

  • Experience of maintaining and repairing lorry loader cranes, or similar hydraulic lifting equipment such as construction plant, agricultural machinery, Forklifts, Talilifts etc. is essential.
  • Applicants should hold a recognised apprenticeship, C&G or NVQ in Plant Maintenance or a closely associated discipline.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
